Included BioFact ™ RTase and BioFact ™ H-Star Taq DNA Polymerase are mixed into the mix as the best-optimized rate for the highest efficiency and high specificity. The BioFact ™ OneStep RT-PCR series is provided in three types for ease of use: Standard Kit (Enzyme Mix, Buffer, 5X Band Helper ™, dNTP Mix, RNase-Free Water), Master Mix (1-Tube Master Mix), 5 ml) and Pre-Mix (master mix in a tube of 8 0.2 ml strips).

2X One-Step RT-PCR Master Mix from Norgen is a ready-to-use solution containing the components necessary for RT-PCR amplification of RNA templates. The mixture includes M-MuLV reverse transcriptase, Taq DNA polymerase, dNTP, reaction buffer, MgCl2, KCl, and a PCR enhancer/stabilizer. The user only needs to add the template, primer set, and water to the master mix to set up the RT-PCR reaction. This convenient 2X One-Step RT-PCR Master Mix reduces the time required to set up PCR reactions and reduces the possibility of contamination, particularly when setting up large quantities of reactions.
The optimized master mix enables robust amplification of RNA temples with high yields of PCR products. Taq DNA Polymerase is a highly thermostable DNA polymerase that has a 5 ‘→ 3’ polymerase activity and a very low 5 ‘→ 3’ exonuclease activity. The Taq source included in Norgen’s 2X One-Step RT-PCR Master Mix is an E. coli strain with a cloned Thermus aquaticus YT-1 Taq DNA polymerase gene. M-MuLV reverse transcriptase is an RNA-directed DNA polymerase that can synthesize a complementary DNA strand from a primer using RNA (cDNA synthesis) or single-stranded DNA as a template.
The reverse transcriptase source included in Norgen’s 2X One-Step RT-PCR Master Mix is an E. coli strain with a cloned M-MuLV reverse transcriptase gene.
